We are a family business, behind the quality of every service are real people who know their craft and work with us every day. Hotel and business clients always deal with the same person in the office.
As manager I am wherever I am needed that day: taking items in, handling orders, pressing. I have worked in the laundry trade since 2004 and at Nova Pralnia for seven years. Stain removal is my speciality. Red wine, wax, resin, over the years I have seen it all. After work I love a good biography and long walks with my dog.
I look after customers as well as sewing and alterations: taking in, shortening, fitting zips. Pressing and mangling too. I have worked at Nova Pralnia since 2010, sixteen years now, and I know our regulars by face. After work I like long walks and baking, ideally a cake with jelly and strawberries when they are in season.
I do the pressing, and shirts are my favourite thing to work on. I am also learning to dose the detergents, because in this job there is always something new to pick up. I have been at the laundry for a year and feel more confident every month. After work I like long walks, ideally by the sea, and unwinding with a series, Turkish ones especially.
We agree the standard turnaround when you drop items off. For selected services we offer express handling, from 120 minutes. Timing depends on the fabric and the work involved, so we always confirm it in the shop.
It is best not to treat a stain yourself but to bring the item straight to us. After a home attempt the stain often sinks deeper into the fabric or is set by the product, and it becomes far harder for our team to remove. The sooner it reaches us untouched, the better the chance of a complete result.
Garments are returned on neat hangers and wrapped in film that protects them during transport and storage.
